Hope and Change ? Center for Christian Business Ethics

November 7, 2012 ? The Results are in.

The current administration came in on a message of Hope and Change. ?This
administration has received four more years. There really is a message of Hope and
Change ? the Gospel is that message.

The Christian message is a message of hope and change. ?Hope in that we know
NOW that we will live in eternity with our Heavenly Father. ?Our faith in
the Gospel is the substance of that hope. ?This Gospel of the redemptive
work of Jesus on the cross, changes our lives. ?We are born again; we have a
new life; all things have become new. ?In living this life, we spread this
message of hope (1 Peter 3:15).

For the business person, we are a critical part of God?s plan for hope in
our communities. ?We are the ones that see and meet needs. ?We meet these
needs by applying the resources and talents God has entrusted to us. ?In
meeting these needs, we create more abundance in order to meet more needs.

In the early days of the Church, it changed the world because of its message
of hope for eternity applied to everyday lifes. ?In the Reformation and for
the past 400 years, Christian business people changed the way business is
done. ?There is much work to be done, with enormous needs to be met. ?It is
not the administration that can spread a message of hope and change, but we
in our business activities can be the witness and deliverer of God?s hope
and change.
