Fran?ois Nars is a man of many talents. As well as creating a beauty brand that's turned into a worldwide phenomenon?? largely down to his multi-award-winning Orgasm Blush ? and seen him able to buy his own small island in the South Pacific, he's secured a spot as Marc Jacobs go-to runway makeup artist and is a pretty ace photographer. Yep, what initially started as a passion soon turned into him shooting his own advertising campaigns (he still does to this day) and launching a photography book, X-Ray, in 1999. His striking images mean that he's regularly called upon for his skills behind the lens. His latest project is a stunning editorial spread of German model Toni Garrn in Vogue Japan. Call us biased, but we think Fran?ois' expert face painting skills allow him to take beautiful shots of makeup, no?
