NBA scores: Warriors and Kings get home wins on Friday

James Johnson hits game-winner in Sacramento victory over New York, while Golden State dominates the boards in a win over Philadelphia.

Both Golden State and Sacramento picked up home wins over Eastern Conference opponents Friday night.

Golden State 96 - Philadelphia 89

The Golden State Warriors improved their record to 20-10 with a 96-89 win over the Philadelphia 76ers Friday night at Oracle Arena. The Warriors, who had six players in double figures, were led by a double-double from forward David Lee. The veteran power forward scored a team-high 23 points and added 12 rebounds. Forward Carl Landry added 16 points and 11 rebounds off the bench. Guards Stephen Curry and Jarrett Jack each had six assists. The win helped Golden State maintain its second place position in the Pacific Division, four games back of the Clippers.

Sacramento 106 - New York 105

Kings forward James Johnson made a last-second three point shot, giving Sacramento a surprising 106-105 win over the New York Knicks Friday. Sacramento had built a 21-point halftime lead, but a furious New York comeback gave the visitors the lead with six minutes left to play. With the Kings down two and less than 20 seconds to play, DeMarcus Cousins stole a Jason Kidd pass. Johnson took a pass from John Salmons at the top of the key and drained the game-winning shot. Johnson finished with 17 points. Marcus Thornton led the team with 18 points, and DeMarcus Cousins and Jimmer Fredette each had 15.

Elsewhere, the Clippers destroyed Boston 106-77 Thursday night and defeated Utah 116-114 Friday, Tony Parker scored 31 as San Antonio topped Houston 122-116, and the Lakers got back to .500 on the year with a 104-87 win over Portland.
