The Virginia International University School of Business is currently seeking to fill adjunct faculty positions for the above subjects at our Fairfax, VA campus for our undergraduate and graduate level business courses. We are seeking adjunct faculty with experience in teaching both on-ground and online courses. The teaching faculty provide quality education and service to the students in meeting the objectives of our programs and preparing our students to effectively participate in the global community and global workforce.

Duties:

The adjunct teaching faculty perform duties relating to the delivery of curricula in on-ground and/or online setting. This includes, but is not limited to, planning and developing lessons, managing the classroom activities, providing students with guidance to accessing resources supporting the course objectives, grading assignments and providing timely feedback to the students during their class hours as well as via other channels of communication. The adjunct faculty support relevant University initiatives and is provided with a variety of opportunities for professional development.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Terminal degree in the academic discipline (For Accounting CPA preferred)
• Extensive industry and/or teaching experience
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to utilize a variety of teaching styles and deliver instruction to students with diverse learning styles
• Online teaching experience preferred
